Tuesday morning (9/27/16) at approximately 09:05 units were alerted to a report of a transit bus on fire in the area of the RT.40 / US 15 interchange. Crews arrived to find the top of an all-electric county TransIT bus involved. Crews used dry-chemical and Class D extinguishers to initially control the blaze, with a follow up foam blanket provided by Fort Detrick's Engine 501. HIRT 33 was also called to the scene to assist with any potentially hazardous runoff from extinguishing efforts. Strong work by all.
