Units responded to a reported vacant building fire on August 30, 2017 in the area of route 40 in Middletown. Initial reports included an outside fire and was then updated by Emergency Communications Center as a structure fire. On scene units reported fire throughout the structure and was deemed a defensive operation. Units from compnay 1 included Tower 1, Tanker 1, and Brush 16. Additional personnel were staffing Engine 12 and Ambualnce 19 in the station until units returned.
