Around 1:30 pm today, Engine 12 and Tower 1 responded to a report of a house fire on Madison Street in Company 3’s area. Units arrived on scene and had smoke showing from the dwelling. Company 3 investigated and found a small fire in the closet on side Charlie. Company 1 and other units was standing by on side Alpha per command. All occupants were out of the house, no injuries were reported, and units were released in a short time. Remember smoke detectors save lives. Having detectors gives occupants’ time to get out when there is a fire.
