At 1324 hours, Box 1-1 was struck for the reported fire in the laundry room on Taney Avenue. Rescue Engine 11 (Lt Lyons), Tower 1 (Lt Jones) and Engine 23 arrived simultaneously to find a two story middle of the row with smoke pushing from the front door. Both engine crews stretched lines and made an aggressive attack, encountering heat and zero visibility on both floors. Tower 1 and Engine 23 operated on the first floor while Rescue Engine 11 and Rescue Squad 3 operated on the second.

Crews made quick work to extinguish the fire and keep it to the original unit and operated for about an hour and a half. Strong work everybody.
