The Independent Hose Company and other Frederick County units responded to the 500 block of Pumphouse Road this afternoon, for a single family home with a reported attic fire. Upon arrival, crews found the roof area well-involved. Two adult occupants were home at the time of the fire and were able to escape uninjured. The occupants of the home were displaced. The Frederick County Fire Marshals Office determined that an attic exhaust fan caused the fire. We wish the best for the family who loss so much in this event.
